Christine Botes began her operatic career with the Glyndebourne Chorus and Opera Factory and has since sung principal roles with all the major British opera companies.  

On the concert platform she has performed most of the mezzo-soprano repertoire with major orchestras and ensembles in the UK and abroad, and has taken part in several world and European premieres.

Alongside her singing commitments she works with students, young professional and amateur singers, choirs and ensembles on improving acting, acting style and presentational skills for singers.
